Toddler Joy

Elliot is growing up in so many ways, right before me.  While it makes me a little reminicent, I mostly appreciate and celebrate every new thing he learns.
Lately, it's pretending.
He's been engaging in "pretend play" for a while now, starting with pretending to talk on the phone with this one "phone" shaped block, and that was months ago... but every day he builds on it more and more.
The best ones right now are...
 - Looking through his Sesame Street coloring book and saying "Oh no, Gizzuh (Grover), Oh noooo!"  I'm not entirely sure where that is coming from, lol.
 - Playing in his wagon and saying "Two, TWO, TEEEEEE (one, two three)".  Also, I'm not sure quite what he's counting down about, but it sounds really fun and exciting.
 - Pretending to sleep. "Nigh' nigh' (night night), seepy (sleepy), *snoring noises*"
 - Hugging and kissing all of his stuffed animals, especially because Elliot's specialty are bear hugs in which he strangles the object of his affection and gives a big "rrrrr!".  Also, yesterday he hugged the stove and high fived "High Five!  Bam!"  his cheese at snack time before eating it.

You can be jealous of my awesome kid now.

Done and done! None of my kids ever high fived their cheese (sad face). And I love that Elliot's specialty is awesome bear hugs. I especially love that he roars. What a guy!

Ahh - Liz this is the best age -- no wait I said that about the last several months and will be saying it again and again. They are ALL the "best age"!! Elliot is definitely awesome! Life is good.
